Imagine, for a moment, what $50,000 a night might get you. A gilded palace in France? An entire penthouse in New York City? How about an underwater bungalow at a Maldives resort? The latter option is real—and it’s as bonkers as it sounds.

The aquarium-meets-luxury-hotel room, called Muraka, is opening at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort later this year. Architect Ahmed Saleem split Muraka into two levels—the top floor features two bedrooms, a sun deck, and an infinity pool that look out onto the shimmer ocean. The master bedroom and living room are below—16.4 feet under the sea.

The bottom floor features an acrylic dome, which acts as a massive window for watching fish and ogling the coral reef. For $50,000, we imagine the villa comes with all sorts of entertaining amenities, but with a view like that, who needs them?
