What is a tiny home if not a chance to turn your interests and hobbies into a mini roving vessel? From Tudors to lunar landers, we’ve seen tiny houses that go all in on thematic design touches.

This custom home from Tiny Heirloom is designed with cinematic touches inspired by the owners’ daughter’s love of the theater. The 200-square-foot cedar-clad pad centers around the kitchen, which, in addition to full-size stainless steel appliances, includes a gleaming embossed golden ceiling and backsplash intended to reference decor found in an ornate, old theater.

Off to the side of the kitchen, there’s an entertainment nook with a large wall-mounted TV and a red velvet sofa bed that looks way more comfortable than the average cinema seat. The half-circle dining area in front of a window is also a nifty touch.

The home has two bedrooms—a master bedroom with a skylight reached via stairs, and another loft bedroom above the nook that can sleep two children. That space is accessed by a ladder, perfect for those times when Netflix in bed is a better option.
