The architect was known for his affordable and distinctly midcentury modern designs: low-slung roofs, glassy expanses, indoor-outdoor living. He was also known for his sheer productivity—throughout his career, Krisel’s firm designed over an estimated 40,000 homes around Southern California and the surrounding area.
