Managed by Moving Mountains, the home boasts a ski-in/ski-out patio; you can ski down to the lift and gondola at Steamboat Mountain Resort in just two minutes. The 2,758-square-foot luxury accommodations sleeps 11 with two master bedrooms and a bunk-room for the kids.

The well-stocked kitchen includes high-end appliances, and you can watch skiers fly by while lounging inside or out at multiple fireplaces. The Edgemont building offers a gorgeous heated pool and hot tubs—views included—and other amenities like ski locker rooms and a gym. The best part? Moving Mountains can arrange concierge services—think lift tickets, equipment rentals, and the like—and VIP catered meals so that you don’t have to lift a finger.

Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah

This “Scandinavian masterpiece” named after the legendary Norwegian pioneer of American skiing—Stein Eriksen—sits fifty feet from the lifts mid-mountain at Deer Valley. Families will love the game room and the heated outdoor pool, while couples should opt for the suites with private hot tubs on the deck.

Well-equipped accommodations from from guest rooms to three-bedroom condos, with plenty of space for everyone. An atmosphere of understated luxury and excellent service makes stays feel easy, and a helpful shuttle service can drop you into Park City’s fun Main Street in a jiffy.

The signature ski-in/ski-out lodge of Beaver Creek houses a generous number of guest rooms and suites. Families will appreciate the larger three-bedroom suites and the property has an amazing outdoor heated pool and slopeside hot tubs. You can’t beat the location, with skiing just steps away on a fast high-speed quad that never sees a line.

But perhaps the most unique part of the property is the 21,000-square-foot spa and fitness center. There’s nothing better than a massage after skiing all day, and the Bachelor Gulch spa goes all out with 19 treatment rooms, a steam room, hot and cold plunge pools and—our favorite—a co-ed stone grotto.

Snow Bear Chalets in Whitefish, Montana

Want something unique for your next ski vacation? Check out these treehouses located slopeside at Whitefish Mountain Resort in Montana. The recently built chalets stand 30 feet above the forest with gorgeous views of the mountains of Glacier National Park, and are the definition of ski-in/ski-out—located directly on the ski run and only a minute from the ski area’s Chair 3 ski lift.

Three different chalets are available as vacation rentals and all come with a private treetop deck, hot tub, and top-notch luxuries like quartz countertops. Two of the chalets sleep six people with two bedrooms and two baths in about 825 square feet, but all of the units feel much larger. You can expect high-end amenities like radiant floor heating, a mud room, fireplace, and mountain views. But don’t miss the turret: Peer up at the ceiling and you’ll find 600 fiber-optic stars in the form of various constellations.

That’s why the recent $65 million renovation of the former Vail Cascade Resort & Spa into the Hotel Talisa was so important. The luxury 285-room mountainside property is the only hotel in Vail with true ski-in/ski-out access off of Vail’s chair 20.
