Labor Day deals from Amazon, Walmart, and more

You might still be reveling in long pool days and warm nights, but Labor Day is here. Before you fire up the grill and cut the watermelon, remember that this weekend is a prime time to shop mattresses, appliances, and other home goods. It might also be a good time to stock up on home tech; prices on TVs and other electronics could go up after September 1, when new tariffs on Chinese goods go into effect.

To help you figure out which sales you want to shop and when, we’ve rounded up what you need to know about the best promotions from both big retailers—think Amazon, Target, and more—and smaller brands, below. We’ll update this list frequently so check back often for the latest offers.

The big home retailers

Amazon: Labor Day sales on Amazon are rolling in, including up to 40 percent off Dyson vacuums like the Dyson V8 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum ($299, orig. $499) and deals on Amazon devices like the Echo Dot ($29.99, orig. $49.99) and Echo Plus ($109.99 orig. $149.99).

Target: Target is offering up to 25 percent off home items and big deals on tech like the Google Home Mini for only $29.

Walmart: Walmart has rolled back prices on all categories, including home, furniture, and patio.

Overstock: Now through 9/3 living room furniture, rugs, and dining room tables will be on sale, and you can take an extra 15 percent off patio sets. We’re eyeing this Safavieh Bandelier accent chair (now $314) and these cute Tri-Level Metal Plant Stands (now $84.99).

Bed, Bath & Beyond: Shop up to 50 percent off through 9/7, including $100 off Dyson vacuums and $80 off KitchenAid mixers.

Macy’s: From 8/28 through 9/2 you can save 35 to 60 percent off storewide.

Wayfair: Shop the renovation sale for 70 percent off through 9/30.

Sears: From now until 9/7, shop up to 40 percent off appliances, up to 60 percent off mattresses, and up to 50 percent off Craftsman products.

Best Buy: Best Buy watches Home Depot’s deals closely and will likely follow suit with deep discounts on appliances. Before Labor Day, head to their Deal of the Day page for steep, limited-time sales.

Lowe’s: Save up to 40 percent off kitchen and appliances, up to 20 percent off grills, and up to 35 percent off tools.

Kitchen and organization
