Spring break season has arrived and for Colorado visitors, a stop at a dispensary to purchase legal marijuana is probably first up on the agenda (we're looking at you college co-eds). The recreational shop count in high country has grown to 38 in just over a year into legalization in Colorado. Aspen leads the pot-smoking ski town pack with six separately owned dispensaries in its central core alone. But beware, temporary bans on pot stores are still in effect for Avon, Snowmass and Vail, so you can't expect to buy the magic herb just anywhere. Here, we present you with an updated master marijuana map to help make your trip in Colorado higher than just the altitude (including easy stops along I-70 on your way west).
You're also going to need a pot friendly place to crash and AirTHC is your answer. We'll keep adding points as more new shops open and existing dispensaries gain recreational status. Keep in mind that the order is from east to west, not from best to worst. Did we miss one? Send us an email!
