It turns out that not every blockbuster listing that sells in these parts is located on Nantucket. In fact, two of the Cape and Islands' ten most expensive sales of 2013 were actually on Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard. They're the bottom two, of course, but on the list nonetheless.
UPDATED: It seems we left off the Cape's priciest sale (h/t @paulgroverRE), one we'd written about back in May. Thus, here are the 11 most expensive sales of 2013. Feel free to hit the tipline if there are any other additions/subtractions.

51 Squam Road
2013 kicked off with a blockbuster sale on Nantucket. The sellers, Austin Hearst (grandson of William Randolph Hearst) and J. Christopher Burch, unloaded the 17-room waterfront estate for an even $20 million to an LLC.
48 Monomoy Road
The second priciest sale of the year happened in December, an apropos bookend for 2013. This 17-room Monomoy estate was asking $22,995,000 and sold for $18,000,000 to the CEO of Vitaquest.
9 Fulling Mill Road
The Botticelli and Pohl-designed "Outlook" hit the market in June 2012 for $13,900,000. After a winter break, the listing returned in May asking $12,999,000 and sold in June for $12,900,000.
21 Shimmo Pond Road
This Shimmo estate was asking $12,950,000 and flew off the market in just 14 days. The 1.89 acre spread with a sports barn and tennis court sold in October for $12,600,000.
43 Church Street
"Fairview" hit the market in October 2010 asking $14,000,000. The 7.49 acre waterfront compound found a buyer in May, selling for $11,750,000.
68 Pocomo Road
Another October sale, this brand new Botticelli & Pohl estate was listed for $12,995,000 and sold to an LLC for $11,200,000.
15 Baxter Road
This 'Sconset beachfront estate hit the market asking $12,500,000 and sold for $11,000,000 just 24 days later.
11 Lincoln Avenue
Here's a Lincoln Circle property located next door to the spread that Tommy Hilfiger's ex-wife has on the market with a $27M asking price. This 10-room Lincoln Avenue "Heirloom offering" was asking $10,900,000 and sold in October for $9,550,000.
2 & 18 Kimball Avenue
Another Lincoln Circle sale, this two-lot property sold for the $8,900,000 asking price in August. Land ho!
143 Bayberry Way
Finally, to the Cape. Located in Osterville's Wianno neighborhood, "Sunset Point" hit the market in 2011 asking $12,500,000 and sold in April for $8,000,000.
29 S Water Street
Academy Award winning actor James Cagney, one of the Vineyard's first celebrity residents, owned this home on Edgartown Harbor from 1948 to 1952. The 11-bedroom hit the market for the first time in 60 years this past August for $9,185,000 and sold in November for $7,900,000.
