Since winning the Pritzker Prize in 2004, starchitect Zaha Hadid has been among the most sought after architects in the world, landing big commissions from Singapore to Oxford. Granted some of the projects have been waylaid by the financial crisis, but more than a dozen are still currently under construction. That's right, Hadid isn't just tied up with designing custom-made, $160K dining tables these days, she's also seeing some of her billion-dollar projects come to life. That must be what's giving the architect the confidence to insert her sometimes-jarring form of modernism into the age-old campus at the University of Oxford.
