The 25 Most Expensive Homes For Sale in Ski Country

View as Map

The days of cheap A-frames and $150,000 condos are long gone in most of ski country, and nothing exhibits this trend more than the rising prices of alpine real estate. We decided it was high time to update our list of the 25 most expensive real estate listings in ski towns and we're glad we did; there's been a shakeup in the rankings.

For the first time in this list's history on Curbed Ski, the top 10 listings in ski country all clock in at more than $40 million. Sure, the priciest listing just chopped $20 million off of its price tag, but there's been a surge in luxury homes priced above $25 million. In a previous version of this list in summer 2015, the cut off to make the top 25 was around $19 million, now it's almost $24 million.

And while Lake Tahoe, Vail, Jackson Hole, and Telluride all make a decent showing with top-dollar listings, the king of pricey ski real estate is Aspen, Colorado. There are currently more expensive listings in the Roaring Fork Valley then at any time since 2007, and a whopping 14 of the top 25 priciest ski country listings are in the Aspen area.

Know of a listing that we missed? Let us know in the comments or better yet, send us an email. We'll be updating this list. Please note, the following list is ordered from most expensive to least expensive.
