The Huntley Lodge

This convenient Big Sky hotel may not be quite as fancy as most of the Curbed Ski picks, but it does boast some awesome free perks. Free nightly ski storage, daily free movie showings in the amphitheater (great for kids!), and anyone who stays at a Big Sky lodging property can drop their kids off at the Kids Club from 4:00-6:00 pm while the adults head to après. Cheers!

Knob Hill Inn

We love the Knob Hill Inn for their well-appointed, generously sized rooms, but they also have some epic free perks. A delicious continental breakfast (with hot options!) starts the day off right and guests can also get free shuttle rides throughout Ketchum. But the best luxury perk? Free iPads are available to use while at the hotel.

Waldorf Astoria Park City

How many luxury hotels offer free day parking for non-guests? Exactly. Whether you’re visiting the spa, dining, or just popping in for a look-see, the only cash you’ll need is to tip the valet (c’mon, don’t be a jerk).

Yarrow Resort Hotel & Conference Center

While the staff at this perfectly nice property are a bit clueless, the parking is free and sans registration. You didn’t hear it from us, but need to stash your vehicle for a few days while you, say, fly out of SLC for a quick side trip? Just know that Park City is dominated by HOA’s, and “long-term” street parking is nigh impossible.

Montage Deer Valley

The late afternoon chocolate chip cookies and milk room service is a sweet touch, literally. So are the exquisite, housemade chocolates (made by Montage’s Dutch pastry chef) left bedside during turndown. Still jonesing for sugar? There are S’mores (with housemade marshmallows and flavored chocolates, natch) offered year-round outside the fire pit, located at the base of the tubing hill (also free for guests). To burn off the sugar high, in summer there's 30 complimentary sporting activities at this family-friendly, super-luxe resort, including archery, fly-fish casting lessons, hiking, and Frisbee golf. If you’ve had a few too many cocktails in town, (Park City is four miles down a winding, treacherous-in-inclement-weather road), avail yourself of Montage's free shuttle, which also provides scheduled pick-up and drop-off from Park City Mountain Resort.

The Limelight Hotel

A rack of cruisers sit outside the front door of this chic-but-sweet, dog-friendly boutique hotel, but there’s also shuttle service to the Aspen airport, around town, and to Snowmass during the winter months. In Summer, there are kites for the kids (big people can fly, too) and dog amenities including Limelight-branded leash, water bowl, treats, and drawstring bag. There are even green, logo M&M’S®. But wait, there’s more: the totally bomb breakfast buffet includes housemade granola, Greek yogurt, a MYO Belgian waffle station, pastries, bagels, cold cuts and lox, and enough other goodies to, ahem, pad your pockets for a day of schussing or hiking.

Hotel Jerome

Ever-present pots of coffee and a nice tea selection live in the hallway off of the main lobby. More important: banana bread. Choose to enjoy on cozy couch or armchair before the fireplace, or on a garden patio, both just a few feet away.

The Westin Snowmass Resort

As part of a water and energy conservation initiative, the hotel offers MAGC (Make a Green Choice) vouchers for every day that you decline maid service. Instead, you get five bucks off at these Westin/Wildwood Snowmass dining venues: Starbucks, Snowmass Kitchen, Vue, Double Black Noodle Bar, and Bar at Wildwood. Brilliant.

Old Town Inn

The great value and service at this family-owned-and-operated hotel is a perk in its own right, but cookies hot out of the oven every afternoon? Love. Snow-enthusiasts (and kids) can avail themselves of the five pairs of snowshoes and “stable” of plastic sleds for use on the nearby sledding hill. Summer means cruisers with baskets (great for procuring a six-pack and some fruit from the farmers market a block away) - in CB, the ultimate way to pass as a townie.
