This casual eatery opened in February with a breakfast and lunch menu offered from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. Wednesday through Monday. The House Pickles, including Garlic-Dill Cukes and The Mexi-Cali Carrot & Jalapeno, are available by the pound.

Maison Villatte

Green Lotus Cafe

Cape Cod's first vegan and vegetarian restaurant, the Green Lotus Cafe, opened in late March on historic Main Street in Hyannis. The casual eatery's menu also includes raw and gluten-free cuisine.

The Compound Bar and Grille

Open since May in the space formerly occupied by Ardeo on Main, this Kennedy-themed restaurant and bar got off to a rocky start with some controversial drink names. The menu is contemporary and creative, with dishes like Cape Cod Red Beer Battered Tempura Shrimp and "The Kennedy Compound" crab cake.

T. Murphy's Sports Bar & Grill

T. Murphy's opened in December, serving up pub fare (Guinness Stew, Dublin Nachos) with a few Cape Cod twists (Lobster Quesadilla, Lobster Mac & Cheese) and even a Canadian favorite, French fries with Jamesons Whiskey Gravy.

Morelli's Taverna

Located in the space formerly occupied by Ardeo's, the recently opened Morelli's Taverna serves up traditional Italian foodfrom 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The tavern is open until 12:30 a.m. and will serve pizza until midnight in July & August.
When the new Chatham Orpheum Theater opens in July, you'll be able to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner thanks to VERS. Named for the Dutch word for "fresh," the owners intend to make everything from scratch at both the upstairs cafe and downstairs restaurant. As we mentioned in April, they're also planning on a late-night menu for moviegoers and other nights owls.

Karoo Restaurant

This sister restaurant of PTown's Karoo Cafe opened in April on Eastham's Main Street. The menu at Karoo Restaurant offers a similar menu of South African cuisine, but with a more formal vibe. Gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options are available.

The Canteen

Housed in a 200 year-old wharf building, The Canteen opened on May 16 with a menu of updated Cape Cod favorites and shorefood classics, all made from scratch from high-quality ingredients. Chow down on Cod Banh-Mi, Pucci's Wings, plus vegan and vegetarian options in the communal dining room or grab something to go.

Not Your Sugar Mamas, purveyors of "powerfully healthy, incredibly tasty handmade chocolate creations" opened a second retail location in May. For self-service 2.0, you, dear customer, can hop on their stationary bike and blend your own smoothie. Hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and everything is free of refined sugar and gluten. Breakfast, lunch & dinner at NYSM? Why not.

This recently opened gourmet cafe features housemade pastries, cold-pressed juice and fresh-brewed coffee (Intelligentsia and Chilmark Coffee) with counter service and outdoor seating daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Located behind Edgartown Books, naturally, the cafe will be open year-round.

The Proprietors Bar & Table

The Proprietors Bar & Table is the latest from Michael & Orla LaScola of Nantucket’s acclaimed American Seasons and Executive Chef/Co-Owner Tom Berry. Scheduled to open this week, "the menu thinks globally and sources locally with internationally accented dishes using ingredients sourced as much as possible from area farms, growers and artisans."
