By now, we're all well aware that marijuana is legal in Colorado. And if you're not, please come out from under that rock. While Denver saw an immediate wave of recreational dispensary openings with the New Year, the effects of legalization in ski country didn't happen overnight. Telluride, Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne and Idaho Springs all opened up shops in January, but in other mountain towns like Aspen and Steamboat Springs, the retail rollout is a work in progress. And according to Colorado NORML, there's still a temporary ban in Avon, Basalt, Dillon, Snowmass and Vail. If you're part of the reason the state is seeing a huge boom in marijuana tourism, you obviously need to know where to go. Here, we present you with Colorado's master marijuana map for your escapades in the high country (including easy stops along I-70 on your way west).
You're also going to need a pot friendly place to crash and AirTHC is your answer. We'll keep adding points as more new shops open and existing dispensaries gain recreational status. Keep in mind that the order is from east to west, not from best to worst. Did we miss one? Send us an email!
