Interior designer Emily Henderson just bought her dream home — with one major design problem

Emily Henderson, HGTV host, interior designer, and lifestyle blogger, and her husband Brian accomplished a major life achievement: They bought a new home! An English-style Tudor home built in 1926, with four bedrooms and two baths, that came with nearly every one of the Hendersons' must-haves: a big backyard, good indoor and outdoor flow, the charm and character of an older property, great light, and a dream location. But there's one wrinkle in the plans for their dream home — the kitchen.

The old kitchen is every major design flaw exposed — terrible functionality (the corner gives the room an awkward shape), Formica countertops, seafoam green cabinets, tiles, and outdated appliances. So the Hendersons teamed up with Frigidaire to renovate and redo that kitchen to create their perfect living space.

Check out the first of the Hendersons' renovation diaries to see how they tackle their first major home project. (There might even be a demo party and sledgehammers involved.)
